INTASC Principles
Undergraduate Portfolio Standards
Each course at Morgan addresses specific INTASC principles,
as well as the Maryland Technology Outcomes and National Technology
Standards. The syllabi for each course notes the INTASC principle(s)
being addressed in the course. Additionally, course assignments
are developed that provide students opportunities to create artifacts
that address the INTASC principles. Students are encouraged to begin
saving course assignments that relate to the principles prior to
the internship experience. These will be used in the development
of an entrance portfolio required before acceptances into the Teacher
Education program and internship.

INTASC Principles
As mentioned previously, the INTASC Principles (Interstate New
Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium) are the standards used
in the MAT portfolio. Developed by the Chief State School Officers
(State School Superintendents) and several professional organizations
for colleges of teacher education, these standards are to represent
the knowledge, dispositions and performances of a beginning teacher.
